Folsom Landscape Construction & Design-Build Contractor

Rated 4.9★ by Folsom homeowners | Licensed - Bonded - Insured | Since 2008.

Folsom backyards have to work harder than most. Triple-digit summers, dry granite-clay soils, and the raw graded lots of newer East Folsom subdivisions all make turnkey design and build worth the investment.

South Canyon Construction has been designing and building outdoor spaces across Folsom since 2008 – patios, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, pools, turf, and full yard transformations – under one licensed team from concept to final walkthrough.

All of Our Landscape Services in Folsom

South Canyon Construction is a full-service Folsom landscape construction and design team.

We carry the equipment, pull City of Folsom permits, and hold the CA C-27 license to handle the work most homeowners would rather not coordinate across three or four separate contractors.

Every service below is built in-house – no subbed-out crews, no surprise handoffs.

Built for Folsom's Climate, Soils, and New-Build Lots

Folsom isn’t Sacramento and it isn’t El Dorado Hills. Our designs are tuned to what your specific yard is actually going to deal with:

  • Heat-resilient material choices. Light-reflective pavers, shade-throwing pergolas, and turf rated for 160F+ surface temps keep usable square footage usable in July and August – not just October.
  • Granite-clay grading. East Folsom lots (Mangini Ranch, Russell Ranch, parts of Empire Ranch) come delivered as compacted decomposed-granite pads. We engineer drainage and footings around what’s actually below the surface – not a generic spec.
  • Low-water by default. Drip-zoned beds, drought-tolerant Mediterranean palettes, and turf alternatives are our standard build – not an upcharge “eco” tier. Lower water bills, fewer brown patches in August.
  • HOA-ready submittals. Empire Ranch, Broadstone, Willow Springs, and Folsom Heights all have design review boards. We submit packages with the material samples, elevations, and grading plans your ARC actually asks for.

Why Folsom Homeowners Choose South Canyon

One team, one contract. Design, engineering coordination, City of Folsom permits, procurement, build, and punch list – handled by one crew that doesn’t disappear after the design phase.

Build quality that lasts past the warranty. Engineered retaining walls with the right drainage behind them, properly compacted paver bases, code-compliant gas and electrical for outdoor kitchens and fire features. The kind of work that doesn’t have you calling somebody else in three years.

Fixed-scope, fixed-price proposals. You see the full scope and final number before we break ground. Schedule milestones are written in. No more “we hit a surprise” change orders mid-build unless something genuinely changes about the project.

A local crew that knows Folsom. Same lead, same crew, on your property until the project is done. We pull permits with the City of Folsom CDD every week – we know what the inspectors want to see.

How We Start Every Folsom Project

1. Design Discovery Session. We meet on-site, walk the property, look at slope and existing drainage, and talk through how you actually use (and want to use) the yard. We leave with a working scope.

2. Fixed-Price Proposal. We come back with a full design package, material specs, and a fixed price. Once you sign, the number doesn’t move unless the scope does.

3. Construction & Walkthrough. Permits pulled with the City of Folsom, build executed by our in-house crew, and a punch-list walkthrough before final payment. Two-year workmanship guarantee.
